This is one of those kamen rider episodes that is must see because of the fights. Really awesome. I liked what they did with the tuliphopper. Duke and Zangetsu Shin are very powerful. Probably the two strongest riders as of now. Also Takatora finally revealed himself to Kota. I wonder if Kota and the others ever looked up the workers of Yggdrasil, that way they know their identities and would figure out that Micchy's older brother is Zangetsu!!! The plot thickens and it's only a matter of time before the truth is out and the suffering escalates.

WHOA,Does Kota(Gaku Sano) really did that stunt move while fighting Duke on his own?!
MOST AWESOME OUT OF SUIT BATTLE YET (after Gokaiger & Kyoryuger)

Funny enough, Duke is actually the weakest out of the four, with average stats compared to the rest. Each of the other three each have an attribute enhanced. Duke on the other hand makes up for it with his smarts. The only reason why the other riders seemed weak was because they were nearly always holding back.

Yes!! another great revelation next week.. for this episode, i'm not really enjoying it as much as the previous ones, i know it's not another filler ep. it's just.. not as intense as it should be

but still the fight scene was pretty amazing to watch (hope that someday baron will get greater power, that dude has some serious bad-ass attitude>> although he didn't stand a chance with those energy riders

Yep, he did those stunts. Casting a guy who can do some stunts is a plus. Like Fourze's actor can do some action, and Meteor can do even more. Gaim's actor (Gaku Sano) has shown his backflipping skills for a young men's pageant contest before.

If you want to watch awesome out-of-suit action battles & stunts, go watch the 'Garo' series, that show has some of the BEST action fights & stunts ever! Even better than the fights you see in Sentai & Kamen Rider.

It's not surprising really, most of the young actors they cast can do at least some basic stunts themselves, it's required of them, and just about all of them have done their own stunts at some stage in the shows.

Damn, Micchy I can't believe you! Did he really sell out Kouta and Kaito just keep his secret?

  15. Duke Says:

Yes, that's exactly what Micchy did. And it's to do with the complexity of his character.

Micchy knows he has to eventually accept wholeheartedly the date with destiny with Yggdrasill and at his brother's side. He's seen the truth and it's affected him. He's on a similar page as his brother. There is a coming evil that lacks reason and rationality. It's an evil only Yggdrasill can fight against for the world to survive, and Micchy knows that.

Yet at the same time he really values the friendship he shares with everyone on Team Gaim, and it's those moments that instil him with genuine happiness. But he knows it cannot last, and even if deep down he knows the show must end eventually, he's cherishing the moment for as long as he can. Especially when it comes to his implicit feelings for Mai and his utmost fear that the truth of Yuuya would destroy Kouta psychologically.

So Micchy is essentially pulled at both sides. He wants to stay with the team, but he knows he cannot. At most he can delay the time while an empty chair sits for him at Yggdrasill. And he wants Kouta and everyone else to maintain their allegorical innocence if you will. To know the truth is to lose that childlike innocence. By not wishing Kouta to see the truth, Micchi in a way wants to confine his friend to that state of innocence. But unfortunately for him, Kouta knows all too well that he's walking down the path to adulthood. He wants the truth and he's eager to confront Yggdrasill for it, jeopardising Micchy's interests.

There are so many complex themes and ideas going on that I must commend Urobuchi. The whole show is about abandoning the initial childlike state of innocent to discover harsh adulthood anyway.
